Tarisayi Radu joined ISLA, in January 2015, as the Legal Researcher for the Women’s Land and Property Rights Programme. Tarisayi studied at the University of the Witwatersrand where she obtained her LLB and LLM in International Law and Development.
Tarisayi started her career as a Legal Officer at the Attorney General’s Office in the Ministry of Justice of Zimbabwe where she provided advice and litigated on behalf of government departments. She then joined the Foundation for Human Rights as an intern.
Her work focuses on providing research support, particularly on substantive issues of comparative and human rights law to litigation lawyers. In addition, her work involves the development of publications and materials for capacity strengthening activities.
She has published articles on various topics such as; gender discrimination in newsrooms, and international law as an instrument for development within the context of the extractive industry.
