The Regional and International Human Rights (RIHRS) programme will:
- Focus on countries where ISLA does not have formal partners, including Francophone and Lusophone countries;
- Support and seek to advance women’s human rights litigation before African human rights systems and the UN treaty bodies;
- Focus on the exhaustion of domestic remedies, sourcing cases and finding local partners to collaborate with in order to enable litigation before regional human rights systems and UN treaty bodies;
- Collaborate with other institutions and groups working to strengthen African human rights systems.
This programme will begin toward the end of 2016.
