Our establishment phase is being managed by a Steering Committee. Collectively, the members bring a wealth of expertise in the areas of strategic litigation, sexual rights, women’s human rights, monitoring and evaluation and institution building.
The Steering Committee is tasked with the following:
- Set organisational priorities;
- Explore possible models for Advisory Councils and Expert Legal Panels in light of ISLA’s Pan-African nature and tiered working structure;
- Refine the strategic planning process and;
- Generate targets and an activity plan for the next three years.
The Steering Committee will cease to exist at the end of 2015. Members will transition to either the Board of Directors or Advisory Council.
Upon incorporation, the Steering Committee members will transition to either the Board of Directors, Advisory Council or to both structures. The Steering Committee will then be dissolved.
