Francophone and Collaborations Coordinator

Cynthia studied BA International Relations and Political Science at the University of Witwatersrand and after graduating worked as a translator and project coordinator for the Electoral Institute of Southern Africa (EISA). She also worked at the Canadian High Commission in Pretoria and the US Embassy in Kinshasa where she was in-charge for the students exchange and alumni programme empowering youth to advocate for their human rights.

Cynthia’s ten years and plus professional background consists of work both in the public and private sector, with focus on project management/ coordination and business development management. She has gained tremendous experience of working with people of diverse political, social, cultural and gender background and the respect of diversity.

In her current role at ISLA as Francophone and Collaborations Coordinator, Cynthia supports ISLA’s work in Francophone Africa and collaborations initiatives in both Anglophone and Francophone countries.

Cynthia has a registered NPO supporting migrant communities through feeding schemes and also participates in breast cancer awareness walks and initiatives.
