Communications Intern
Lesego Molefi has joined ISLA as a Communications Intern supporting communications and social media marketing requirements for different projects as well as the administrative organization of events. She has over 3 years of experience rendering administrative and clerical services in manufacturing, legal and philanthropic organisations. Lesego gained exposure to the corporate world when she started working for Steel Studio in 2015 and has since then worked for organisations such as Besong Attorneys as a receptionist and Commonwealth Pageants South Africa as a company administrator. She enjoys administrative tasks, and her skillset includes managing office support functions such as writing correspondence, communicating with multi-functional staff, front desk management, switchboard operation and several other administrative abilities.
Lesego is currently in her final year of studies towards an LLB degree at the University of South Africa. Working at ISLA has intensified her desire to venture into public interest law as she aims to become an attorney who champions legal causes to protect the rights and interests of the most marginalised and vulnerable members of society to achieve social justice. She is currently in the South African Chapter of the International Association of Women Judges (SAC-IAWJ) mentorship programme which is an initiative by the SAC-IAWJ that seeks to invest in the development of female law students who display academic excellence by equipping them with the key knowledge and skills required to excel in a legal career through the tutelage of South African women Judges, Magistrates and other legal professionals. Lesego is an informal hairdresser and a budding yogi.
