Monde Matengu is a BCom Internal Audit graduate from the University of Pretoria and a Post Graduate Diploma in Internal Audit holder from the University of South Africa. She is currently awaiting thesis approval for her MSC in Accounting and Finance from the University of Namibia. Additionally, she holds a certificate for Responsible Investment Fundamentals from the United Nations PRI Academy.

She has over 14 years experience in accounting, finance, and investments, of which she spent the last 8 years in executive positions in various Namibian organisations. Her extensive work with various SMEs, institutional investors, government agencies and other regulatory authorities provides a comprehensive understanding of stakeholder needs.

Monde joins ISLA as the Director of Finance and Operations to oversee finance strategy, planning and financial reporting, combining her personal and professional passions to support ISLA’s mission in protecting women’s human and sexual rights through strategic litigation across Africa.

In her free time Monde enjoys pilates, fantasy and African literature, crochetting and knitting.
