ISLA Offices,

As a pan-African litigation centre, ISLA will work within the ambit of domestic and regional law on women’s human rights and sexual rights.  These domestic and regional laws inevitably affect development and the processes associated with economic, political and social change.  Therefore, through this session ISLA will reach out to development oriented organisations to introduce its work; find points of intersection between its work and development work; and discuss ways in which the development organisations and ISLA can widen the scope for change on the continent, as opposed to working in isolation. Campaigning organisations come across human rights issues that can be litigated. We are keen to collaborate, where possible and to find out if we could collaborate and develop cases from some of the human rights issues that potential partner organisations come across.
