Sophie Ndhlovu joined ISLA in December 2015 as a Programme Coordinator working across programmes such as; Violence against Women, Sexual Rights, and Women’s Land and Property Rights.


Sophie’s professional qualifications are; events coordination, computer literacy, and project management. Her work background includes working in the NGO sector for over a decade in focus areas such as; working with marginalised communities and fundraising for children affected by cancer. She successfully coordinated the only mini-carnival in the City of Tshwane Metro Municipality, for 4 years, which hosted an estimated 15,000 audience each year. She also collaborated and co-hosted the opening celebrations and month-long activities for the 2010 World Cup on behalf the City of Tshwane’s Municipality and Mayoral office.


Sophie has also worked with partners such as; Heartlines, Ashoka Innovators, Altus Sports, GTZ, Talk Radio 702 personalities, Caxton Newspaper, RMB, FNB, and Discovery Invest.


She is passionate about furthering her learning in information and communications technologies.
