Hari Tesfaye Kerga is a human rights lawyer from Ethiopia. She is the Feminist Litigation Network (FLN) Legal Officer.

She has served as Assistant Protection Officer with UNHCR in Debre Birhan, Ethiopia, leading protection coordination and providing legal guidance for internally displaced persons (IDP). As a Legal Fellow at the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ACHPR), she provided legal analysis, drafted opinions, and supported policy development on human rights and transitional justice. At the Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation (CSVR), she contributed to research and reports on transitional justice, reconciliation, and the reintegration of survivors of conflict related sexual and GBV. She also worked with the African Union Commission (AUC) on human rights, governance, and transitional justice initiatives, supporting policy development, training, and advocacy across the continent.

Hari holds an LLM in Human Rights and Democratization in Africa from the University of Pretoria and a Bachelor of Law from Haramaya University.

Outside of her professional work, Hari enjoys swimming, shopping, and reading books.
