Rutendo Mugabe is a legal scholar and human rights advocate pursuing a Doctor of Laws (LLD) at the University of Pretoria, holding an LLM, LLB, and BCom Law degree. Her doctoral research examines human rights and environmental protection, with a focus on the impact of climate change on marginalised communities in Sub-Saharan Africa. She has worked at the Centre for Human Rights. In her role as Project Coordinator at the African Coalition for Corporate Accountability (ACCA), she engaged across international research networks and civil society coalitions, coordinating regional advocacy on corporate accountability. She also contributed to the Mothering and Albinism Global Health Project. Her expertise spans research, policy analysis, advocacy, project coordination, and coalition building, and she has published opinion pieces and presented on climate justice, child labour in transition minerals, and International Standards Addressing Albinism: A Focus on UN Resolutions.
