Tamara Chilinkhwambe holds a Master of Commerce in Development Finance from the University of Cape Town, a Chartered Management Accountant from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA UK), and a Bachelor of Business Administration.

Tamara is a seasoned finance professional with over 15 years’ experience in the financial management of donor-funded organizations – including funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, the U.N. Fund for Population Activities, and the Global Fund – responsible for financial planning, risk management, financial reporting and overall financial oversight.

Tamara has held various leadership positions in both international and local organizations. She has worked as the Finance Director at Centre for Community Impact, where she leads the organization’s strategic financial planning and analysis function, including forecasting, budgeting, compliance, risk management, among other tasks. Tamara has also worked as a Finance and Operations Director for Panagora Group, where she administered additional financial and operational tasks. She formerly worked as an Associate Finance Director at the International Training and Education Centre for Health (ITECH.

Tamara’s attributes include ethical decision making, integrity, strategic vision, creating and implementing financial policies and processes, reporting systems, and solid financial controls.
